The MCS 16.5″ 5.56 NATO upper build kit is engineered for precision and reliability, delivering proven performance for serious gunsmiths. Built around a 16.5-inch MCS barrel made from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel with QPQ nitride finish, this kit offers enhanced durability and corrosion resistance.
The 1:7 twist rate accommodates a variety of projectile weights, ensuring consistent accuracy from 55-grain to 77-grain bullets. The mid-length gas system promotes smoother cycling and reduced recoil compared to carbine-length systems, while the micro low-profile gas block with 0.750 gas block size streamlines the setup. The 15-inch freefloat Keymod handguard is crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum in a sleek black finish, employing the Keymod system for versatile accessory attachment and barrel isolation.
Mounted on a 7075-T6 aluminum upper receiver with anodized finish and M4 feed ramps, this kit combines robust construction with customization options. Fitted with a 1/2×28 TPI GI birdcage flash hider, this upper build kit delivers performance and versatility.
